<description>As executive director, Naomi oversees operations, budget, strategic planning, and campaign outreach for Green Corps. Naomi joined Green Corps in 1999 and soon found her calling in the training of environmental organizers. Before taking on her current position, Naomi served for four years as Green Corps&#x26;rsquo; senior organizing director, responsible for developing and managing dozens of environmental campaigns with groups such as Sierra Club, World Wildlife Fund, Alaska Coalition, Clear the Air, Corporate Accountability International, and the National Parks Conservation Association. She has led teams of organizers that helped to recruit 5,000 students to a student environmental conference in 1999, launch groundbreaking global warming campaigns in 2000 and 2001, and generate grassroots pressure to stop Arctic drilling in 2002 and 2003. Naomi serves on the board of Toxics Action Center, an organization that helps neighborhood groups across New England fight toxic pollution in their communities. She is a graduate of Skidmore College. </description>

<description>Cindy runs the west coast office of Green Corps in San Francisco, California. She oversees the fundraising and membership outreach efforts of the organization and also coordinates the Green Corps Alumni Network. In this role, she provides advanced training, resources, and networking opportunities to more than 200 Green Corps graduates who are working in the environmental and social change fields. Prior to becoming Associate Director, Cindy served as Green Corps&#x26;rsquo; Recruitment Director for four years and was instrumental in doubling the size of the program during a critical growth period. Cindy is a graduate from the Green Corps Field School for Environmental Organizing and has grassroots campaign experience with the Sierra Club, Heritage Forests Campaign, Ozone Action, U.S. PIRG, and Toxics Action Center. She serves on the board of Pesticide Watch, an organization that is dedicated to fighting dangerous pesticide use in California communities. Cindy received a degree in Molecular Biology from Yale University. </description>

<description>Jesse oversees Green Corps&#x26;rsquo; outreach to hundreds of college campuses and student networks to recruit and select the incoming class of Green Corps organizers. He also coordinates our online outreach and serves as a trainer for numerous student activist conferences. Prior to his current role, Jesse served as a Green Corps Assistant Organizing Director and led teams of organizers to register young voters in the fall of 2004 with U.S. PIRG&#x26;rsquo;s New Voters Project and protect the Endangered Species Act with Defenders of Wildlife. As a Green Corps trainee, Jesse helped generate the grassroots pressure needed to convince Royal Caribbean to install pollution control technology on their entire fleet of ships, a huge victory for Oceana&#x26;rsquo;s Stop Cruise Pollution campaign. Jesse received a degree in Political Science from Haverford College in 2003 and graduated from Green Corps&#x26;rsquo; Field School for Environmental Organizing in 2004. </description>

<description>In his role as Assistant Organizing Director, David helps to coordinate the Green Corps classroom trainings and oversees Green Corps trainees and field campaigns. David has led teams of Green Corps organizers to pass an open space ballot measure in Maryland in 2006; turn out more than 5,000 citizens to Arctic Refuge Action Day in 2005; and convince Bowater, largest paper company operating in the Cumberland Plateau, to stop destroying native forests in 2005. David has provided field assistance to organizations such as Sierra Club, Alaska Coalition, Dogwood Alliance, Defenders of Wildlife, Minnesota Environmental Partnership, Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters, New Voters Project, and U.S. PIRG. David is a 2004 graduate of Green Corps&#x26;rsquo; Field School for Environmental Organizing and a 2003 graduate of Vassar College. </description>

<description>Kirsten provides classroom and field training in grassroots organizing and advocacy skills to Green Corps trainees. She has also been instrumental in developing Green Corps&#x26;rsquo; donor program, conducting individual meetings with Green Corps members across the country. She has led teams of Green Corps organizers to stop mercury pollution from chlorine plants; launch Corporate Accountability International&#x26;rsquo;s Think Outside the Bottle Campaign; and pressure ChemLawn, the nation&#x26;rsquo;s largest lawncare pesticide applicator, to use organic alternatives. Prior to taking on her current role with Green Corps, Kirsten was the Canvass Director for Environment North Carolina, where she focused on training and staff development. Kirsten received a degree in Environmental Science from North Carolina State University and graduated from Green Corps&#x26;rsquo; Field School for Environmental Organizing in 2004. </description>

<description>As an Assistant Organizing Director, Sam provides training and support to Green Corps organizers and coordinates multiple field campaigns with partner organizations. Sam has experience leading grassroots campaigns with Oceana, Minnesota Environmental Partnership, Toxics Action Center, and Environment Maine. Working in Minnesota during his Green Corps year, Sam worked to educate local citizens about global warming and build the grassroots support needed to pass a groundbreaking Renewable Energy Standard in February 2007. Prior to joining Green Corps, Sam was a leader of the Yale Sustainable Food Project and led successful student campaigns for the expansion of sustainable food programs on campus. He was the recipient of U.S. PIRG&#x26;rsquo;s 2007 Sarah Forslund Memorial Fellowship award. Sam graduated from Yale University in 2006 with a degree in Comparative Literature. </description>

<description>As Lead Organizer, Annie Sanders helps to run Green Corps classroom training and leads field campaigns with partner organizations. During her year as a Green Corps trainee, Annie worked with Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters to launch a voter and candidate education campaign to build support for local conservation issues, such as protecting the Great Lakes and preserving the state Stewardship Fund. She also led field campaigns with Minnesota Environmental Partnership and U.S. PIRG. Prior to joining Green Corps, Annie was a student activist and athlete at University of Chicago. She was active in the student progressive organization and also served as captain of the Varsity Track and Field and Cross-Country teams. She received a degree in Environmental Studies from University of Chicago in 2006 and graduated from Green Corps&#x26;rsquo; Field School for Environmental Organizing in 2007. </description>

J.R. brings more than five years of fundraising and community service experience to Green Corps. Prior to joining Green Corps, he conducted donor fundraising for Boy Scouts of America, and then worked at Hospice of the Piedmont in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he developed direct mail and foundation relationship-building campaigns. J.R. has won numerous awards for community service and had completed his Eagle Scouts requirements.
