Cindy Kang


Background

Cindy runs the west coast office of Green Corps in San Francisco, California. She oversees the fundraising and membership outreach efforts of the organization and also coordinates the Green Corps Alumni Network. In this role, she provides advanced training, resources, and networking opportunities to more than 200 Green Corps graduates who are working in the environmental and social change fields. Prior to becoming Associate Director, Cindy served as Green Corps’ Recruitment Director for four years and was instrumental in doubling the size of the program during a critical growth period. Cindy is a graduate from the Green Corps Field School for Environmental Organizing and has grassroots campaign experience with the Sierra Club, Heritage Forests Campaign, Ozone Action, U.S. PIRG, and Toxics Action Center. She serves on the board of Pesticide Watch, an organization that is dedicated to fighting dangerous pesticide use in California communities. Cindy received a degree in Molecular Biology from Yale University.
