In his role as Assistant Organizing Director, David helps to coordinate the Green Corps classroom trainings and oversees Green Corps trainees and field campaigns. David has led teams of Green Corps organizers to pass an open space ballot measure in Maryland in 2006; turn out more than 5,000 citizens to Arctic Refuge Action Day in 2005; and convince Bowater, largest paper company operating in the Cumberland Plateau, to stop destroying native forests in 2005. David has provided field assistance to organizations such as Sierra Club, Alaska Coalition, Dogwood Alliance, Defenders of Wildlife, Minnesota Environmental Partnership, Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters, New Voters Project, and U.S. PIRG. David is a 2004 graduate of Green Corps’ Field School for Environmental Organizing and a 2003 graduate of Vassar College.
