Annie Sanders


Background

As an Assistant Organizing Director, Annie helps to run Green Corps classroom trainings and leads field campaigns with partner organizations.  She has directed field efforts on behalf of Food & Water Watch, Clean Energy Works, Sierra Club, and National Wildlife Federation.  During her year as a Green Corps trainee, Annie worked with Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters to launch a voter and candidate education campaign to build support for local conservation issues, such as protecting the Great Lakes and preserving the state Stewardship Fund.  She also led field campaigns with Minnesota Environmental Partnership and U.S. PIRG.  Prior to joining Green Corps, Annie was a student activist and athlete at University of Chicago.  She was active in the student progressive organization and also served as captain of the Varsity Track and Field and Cross-Country teams.  She received a degree in Environmental Studies from University of Chicago in 2006 and graduated from Green Corps in 2007.
