Career Placement: Growing the Movement

In 2004, Green Corps trainee Sudha Nandagopal trained volunteers for Sierra Club's Building Environmental Communities campaign. Today, Sudha is the Communications Manager for Washington Conservation Voters.

After completing the training program, Green Corps connects graduates to groups looking to hire organizers. Green Corps graduates have taken jobs with Sierra Club, Greenpeace, U.S. PIRG, Endangered Species Coalition, National Wildlife Federation, ForestEthics, and NRDC, among others. Because these groups need trained organizers to lead major environmental campaigns, Green Corps organizers are able to find professional positions immediately after their year of training.

Green Corps graduates infuse the environmental movement with visionary ideas and tactical skills in grassroots organizing, making a significant impact on some of today's most pressing environmental issues.

"The earth, which is taking a beating at human hands, is awash with people who express concern about it, but there is a drought of people able to organize to stop the abuse. Green Corps prepares university graduates for the essential commitment to end the drought."
