Why Give to Green Corps Today?

Giving to Green Corps is strategic. We have long-term problems that we’re dealing with today. Global warming is not going to be solved overnight. Species that face the brink of extinction don’t bounce back without habitat that remains protected for years to come. These places will quickly be gone without trained, experienced organizers mobilizing citizen support for solutions and continuing to make our voices heard.

"Hiring Green Corps was one of the best decisions we ever made, enabling us to gain the edge in the battle to safeguard the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. We would recommend Green Corps to anyone."
- Cindy Shogan, Executive Director, Alaska Wilderness League

Green Corps is effective. Since 1992 we have trained more than 200 organizers through our Field School for Environmental Organizing. Eighty-five percent are currently continuing their work in the environmental and social change field, providing much needed skills and leadership to their groups and the issues they work on.

"Green Corps was a powerful experience that shaped my career."
- Adam Ruben (GC ’93) Political Director, MoveOn.org

"I put my Green Corps training to use every day. Whether talking to reporters, recruiting volunteers, or planning long-term strategies. I’m applying the nuts and bolts skills I developed as a Green Corps organizer."
- Sarah Matsumoto (GC ’99) Deputy Director, Endangered Species Coalition

Green Corps keeps overhead low, putting your money to good use.
