Launching spring 2025 campaigns

In the last six weeks, our organizers recruited over 400 new volunteers for  campaigns to advance clean energy policy in Pennsylvania and Texas, to stop the overuse of toxic pesticides in Massachusetts and New Jersey, to protect North Atlantic right whales and to reduce waste in the fashion industry.

Our organizers are both honing their skills and training new volunteers on grassroots advocacy and organizing. They’re also finding opportunities for positive environmental action at local and state levels of government, as well as through new corporate commitments.

Our community volunteer teams in Houston and Dallas are ready to Save Texas Renewables! They have already collected 1,800 petition signatures, hosted 4 educational events with local community organizations and coordinated a Valentine’s-themed social media push.

Our Pennsylvania team works to advance a new Renewable Portfolio Standard in the Commonwealth and pushes for the protection of clean energy programs by highlighting clean energy success stories in the media. Our organizers are also busy coordinating 16 clean energy tours of churches, schools and government buildings that have benefitted from these programs.

Volunteer teams on college campuses in Massachusetts and New Jersey campaign for both the protection of the North Atlantic right whale and the reduction of toxic, bee-killing pesticides.

In North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Georgia, organizers mobilize young people to urge Forever 21 and H&M to commit to not burning unsold clothing. Volunteer teams are busy hosting “trashion shows,” clothing swaps and Valentine’s-themed “Break Up with Fast Fashion” events.
