Over the course of the semester, I worked with MASSPIRG volunteers to help collect more than 10,000 petition signatures in support of restricting neonicotinoid coated seeds. Those signatures reflected thousands of individual, educational conversations.

With 2025 wrapping up, we want to share some highlights from excellent organizing by the Green Corps team over the last 12 months.

In our efforts to build support for wildlife crossings, volunteers and I attended Beach Cleanings in Partnership with Keep Pinellas Beautiful, taught elementary students about wildlife crossings with the Edible Peace Patch Project, hosted a screening of The Path of the Panther, and got news coverage 3 times in multiple news sources, including the Tampa Bay Times.

“I’m so energized by the work I was able to do on the Arctic Defense Campaign in Lehigh, Pennsylvania. After seeing my class earlier in December, I’ve realized how much Green Corps has already taught us about becoming successful environmental advocates.”

Convinced that the environment was where I could make the greatest impact, I began looking for opportunities to return home and get to work. That’s when I found Green Corps

Every year, Green Corps organizers step into communities across the country to take on some of the most urgent challenges facing our environment. They’re working with community members and building their skills while advancing campaigns that protect wildlife, safeguard our health, and address climate change.

In August, we launched the Green Corps Class of 2025-2026! They started to make an impact immediately during our introductory classroom training as they built public support for the Save the Bees campaign and the Good Weather Forecasts Save Lives campaign.

This spring we had two organizers working with Environment Texas on the Save Texas Renewables Campaign.

Ashley works in Newark, New Jersey with NJPIRG Students to build public support for city resolutions to save the bees.

Alexandria and the Student PIRGs team at Georgia State University coordinated the Sustainable Fashion Show with more than 200 attendees as part of their ongoing effort to reduce waste in the textile industry.

Green Corps organizers work alongside PennEnvironment and coordinate tours of churches, schools and breweries to highlight clean energy and electrification projects across the state for the Clean Energy for Pennsylvania campaign.

Green Corps Organizers built public support across 10 states to advance critical clean energy and conservation campaigns.
